While talks are on about plasma and LCD televisions going big with sizes above 100 inches-150 inches or more, a new wave of projects are about to be launched which might actually change the way you enjoy movies.

The slew of cons outweighed the pros when it came to projectors because they were supposed to be installed behind a high rise area and can only be watched in a dark room. It was dedicated to the niche home theater lovers who had separate room for this experience but it seems LG Hecto 100 inch projector slated for CES 2013 will change it all!

This new Laser television is a leap in technology which is made possible by the Hecto system. The project will display 1080p videos on a specially designed 100-inch screen within a distance of 2-feet which is really surprising.

You no longer have to set it behind your back and worry about crossing the path of the light. Besides, the laser television is also capable of showing high clarity even in well lit rooms or where sunlight is prominent.

Features of Hecto include dual 10 watt speakers, three HDMI ports, audio out and RS 232 interface. You will have access to LG’s smart television technology with VOD, browsing, WiDi compatibility as well as the magic remote, the one mote to control it all!

An impressive feature of this upcoming LG Hecto is the Methusala bulb used which lasts beyond standard mercury lamps (25, 000 hours) by lasting at least five times longer which will provide long lasting usability.

A treat for home theater lovers and movie enthusiasts isn’t it?
